Whatever the size and shape of your bust, choosing your lingerie requires asking yourself the right questions.
What do I need?
Some women are going to give preference to support, others to seduction (and the two are not incompatible), some of us have big breasts and others smaller ones … some wish to enhance their breasts while others on the contrary wish to reduce their size...
At Afibel we are very attentive to the quality and the comfort of the products we propose. When selecting our collection of bras, we choose to give preference to comfort without for all that giving seduction or support a miss.

Sounds incredible, but is it? Well, to check this out, nothing could be simpler.
Incroyable, pas si sûr. Alors, pour vérifier, rien de plus simple.
Take a flexible tape measure. It should go all round your bust horizontally just under your breasts. The tape measure should stick to your skin without being over tight. This measurement will give you the equivalence of your size. If, for example, it is between 78 and 82 cm, you need a 95 bra.
Here is a little table to help you find what you need.
In order to determine the depth of the cup, you need to take a second measurement. Place the tape measure around your bust, but this time, over the nipples. The difference between the two measurements you have taken will give you the cup size.
If you can’t decide between 2 sizes, we advise you to go for the bigger of the two. The fasteners and the adjustment of the straps will enable you to perfectly adapt your bra to your morphology.
And as your breasts are constantly changing throughout your life, it’s a good idea to regularly check your size.
The wiring placed in the bra under the breasts provides good support and generally gives a more stylish look to the lingerie. But some women cannot stand them. They get the impression that their breasts are being compressed and that the wiring is injuring them. In this case a bra without underwiring is called for. They are designed to give preference to comfort without necessarily giving seduction a miss.
Choosing a bra is also being able to give yourself a treat and enhance the beauty of your breasts. Lace, contrasting or tone-on-tone embroidered tulle, damask effect, stretch knitwear… there is no shortage of materials to raise the beauty of your figure to new heights. Have fun with the effects of transparency that give a hint of skin. As regards colours, white and flesh tone remain the big classics and are always in good taste. Black brings a touch of seduction and is a must under dark garments. Other colours come with the seasons depending upon the fashion trends. Whatever the case, it is better to coordinate what you wear underneath with what you wear on top.
The shape is a vital element. If you have small breasts, avoid bras that cover up too much and are too stretchable as they could crush your breasts. Choose rather a pretty triangle that enhances the contours of your breasts.
If your breasts are fuller, give preference to full cup bras for perfect support, preferably with big straps, possibly padded in order to avoid any shearing effect at the shoulders. They are often proposed with a broader back for greater comfort. Some models also exist with a large elastic band at the base or a half-moon reinforcement under the breasts that provides even greater support; others propose double cotton cups that provide great well-being and softness, indispensable if you have sensitive skin. Lastly, if you have joint problems or you want to retain your total independence, think about the comfort of fastening at the front, very practical if you suffer from low back pain.
What to do if my usual bra is too tight under the breasts or at the ribs ?
Your bra is doubtless too small at the back; -you can try to loosen the clips or buy extension clips. Whatever the case, you are advised to retake your measurements.
What to do if the underwiring does not stick to my body ?
If the underwiring becomes unstuck this is often a sign that the cup is too small; try the next size up.
What to do if the straps cut into my shoulders ?
Firstly, your straps are perhaps wrongly adjusted and you can always try to loosen them. If this does not help, choose a model with wider straps and some are even padded.
What to do if I feel oppressed ?
Your cups are doubtless too small.
Whatever the case, a bra must remain comfortable to wear. It is up to you to find the right balance between seduction and support, practicality and elegance. With a good model with the right adjustments you will regain confidence in your feminine charms looking upon your bust as an asset rather than a handicap.
